While we are often focused on playing Kards, there is some interest out there in making Kards too.
Being a bit of an amateur game designer myself, I figure that we can use our Tuesday time slot to start throwing our ideas out there.
A caveat, I don’t claim that these cards will ever appear in Kards itself. I can’t say that these as necessarily 100 percent balanced either. I can’t say if 1939 Games even looks at this stuff. This week we are taking a look at the Soviet infantry, the 35th Rifle Regiment.
Another wonderful card with a unique effect and further solidifying the Soviet’s self-destructive theme, plus, there are many ways to bring this unit out for free. This card was almost never played prior to the latest patch and that was for good reason too, there were other removal orders that were better and less restrictive.
The developers recognized this and acted. Now, beyond the damage, it by gives your HQ +2 Defense.
Something I overlooked with this card until @Scout used it in his Commando’s deck, it can also target the opponent’s HQ. This opened the flood gates, allowing for new strategies that I didn’t think of originally and one of the reasons aggro/burn should consider using it.
